Scania invests in its UK future as it opens a new branch in Stockton-on-Tees

Scania has strengthened its UK network with a new ground-up branch in Stockton-on-Tees, replacing its long-serving Darlington site.

Scania has further strengthened its network in the UK with the opening of its newest branch in Stockton-on-Tees.

This new ground-up facility has been designed and built in the heartland of Teesside's industrial hub, where trucks continuously serve the oil refineries, freight port and the region's large chemicals, steel and heavy industries.

Replacing a depot 40 years in service

Stockton replaces Scania's Darlington branch, which had been operational for more than 40 years and was working close to capacity. The new site gives the team considerably more room to work, measuring three times larger than the old Darlington premises.

Room to grow

The new service centre will employ 34 people, growing to 40 in due course. It is fitted with the latest equipment, giving Scania's technicians an improved working environment in which to work safely and correctly on diesel, gas, battery electric and petroleum regulation vehicles, while elevating the customer experience during their wait.
