CheckedSafe announces free Transport Compliance Seminar to be held in Burnley

Published on 14 Sept 2026 • 2 min read

Industry experts, DVSA representatives and transport professionals will gather in Burnley on 19 November for a free day of compliance insight and networking.

Tickets have been released for the CheckedSafe Transport Compliance Seminar 2026 (TCS '26), a free day of industry insight and networking taking place in Burnley on Thursday 19 November 2026.

The event gives those in the transport sector the chance to stay up to date on the industry's ever-changing regulations and compliance requirements, hearing from a line-up of industry experts across the day.

What's on the agenda

Attendees at the free seminar will hear from numerous industry experts on a range of topics, including:

  • Insight into what DVSA examiners actually look for
  • The importance of load safety and the real-life consequences of non-compliance
  • A deep dive into the legal position of driving licence checking
  • Additional compliance and best practice updates from leading industry experts

Guest speakers include DVSA's Aidan McCabe and Steve Lyon, alongside Maria Dennis, Laura Newton, Steve Moffatt, and one further speaker yet to be announced.

Attendees will also be treated to a free lunch and refreshments, as well as the chance to take part in interactive quizzes with prizes up for grabs.

Venue and timings

The seminar runs from 09:30 to 15:30 and will be held at Impact Conferencing, a multi-million-pound conferencing facility located at Life Church Lancashire in Burnley, just off Junction 10 of the M65.

Bringing the industry together

CheckedSafe Co-Founder Darran Harris said:

"There are a lot of changes, regulations and responsibilities for people in transport to keep on top of, and it can be difficult to know whether you're doing everything you should be. That's really what TCS '26 is about, bringing the industry together, hearing from industry experts and hopefully giving everyone a few things they can take away and put into practice. And, of course, we want everyone to enjoy themselves along the way, even if compliance is traditionally a dry subject."

Around 250 delegates are expected to attend, so early registration is encouraged to avoid disappointment. For more information on the CheckedSafe Transport Compliance Seminar or to book a free ticket, visit the CheckedSafe Eventbrite page.
