Published on 18 Dec 2025

After eight impactful years, David Payne, Technical Sales & Business Development Director at Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions, is embarking on a well-deserved retirement.

His appointment in 2017 as Technical Sales Manager marked the start of the company’s transformation from a generator supplier and installer into a provider of complete onboard system solutions. With a strong engineering background and deep understanding of electrical systems, David was instrumental in the integration of hybrid power, power electronics, and low-emission solutions across commercial marine, vehicle, and specialist applications. His candid, approachable demeanour, and the trust he earned from customers have enabled the company to deliver high-profile projects and develop tailored services, helping businesses transition to low-emission electric solutions. David’s influence on system integration and product strategy has been pivotal in shaping Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions’ reputation as a trusted partner for complex onboard systems. “David’s contribution to the technical sales of Fischer Panda UK cannot be overstated,” said Barry Fower, Managing Director. “From his early days expanding our systems-based sales approach through to developing high-end client projects, his deep understanding of hybrid power, generator technology and systems integration has helped strengthen the business’ position as a trusted provider of reliable, high-performance solutions. It has been an absolute privilege to have David a part of our team and we wish him all the best in his retirement.” David’s impact extended across product training, systems specification, and technical liaison with customers and partners, building confidence in Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions from leisure craft through to commercial vehicles. “My focus and passion have always been delivering systems that are reliable, efficient, and built to perform in demanding conditions,” David Payne said. “Working with such a dedicated team of engineers, I’ve contributed to systems that consistently meet the needs of our customers in the field. I’ve also had the opportunity to explore power solutions in a rapidly changing landscape and to participate in the transition from fossil fuels to sustainable electric power, which is truly unique.” As the company moves into 2026, updates will follow as part of a wider organisational restructure, reflecting Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions’ ongoing focus on technical innovation and strategic growth.
