Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions Builds on Strong Foundations with Leadership Transition

Published on 08 Jan 2026

With the start of 2026, Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions enters a new phase, ensuring continuity while building on its strong foundations

Following another highly successful year, strategic management changes have been implemented to strengthen its position as the UK’s trusted partner for marine, defence, and specialist vehicle onboard system solutions. By combining premium equipment brands with over a century of in-house engineering expertise, Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions continues to deliver efficient, convenient, and environmentally conscious solutions for its customers.

As part of this transition, Founder and long-serving Managing Director Barry Fower is passing the baton to his son, Chris Fower, who becomes the new Managing Director effective from January 2026. Since founding the company in 1994, Barry has grown the business steadily through word-of-mouth, establishing a reputation for technical expertise and reliable customer service: principles that remain at the heart of the company today. Barry continues to be an integral part of the business in his new role as Chief Executive Officer, providing guidance across all three industries while remaining the driving force behind specialist projects and defence applications. His comprehensive industry knowledge and commitment to the company will continue to support its growth and ensure continuity during this next chapter.

**A Legacy Continues **

Chris joined the business in 2014 in a Business Development role. Drawing on his prior experience and a deep familiarity with the company, he quickly established himself in the role and proactively pursued ways to drive growth. Among his achievements, Chris led the implementation of the company’s current CRM system, developed various marketing channels, including the launch of a new company website, and strengthened customer relationships across marine and specialist vehicle sectors.

Furthermore, Chris was instrumental in structuring the company’s commercial, sales, and management systems, enabling growth and the recruitment of additional team members. His dedication and knowledge of the business ultimately led to his promotion to Sales and Marketing Director, reflecting his strong understanding of both the company and its customers’ needs.

“These changes represent an exciting new chapter for Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions,” said Barry Fower, Chief Executive Officer. “As a family-run business, our focus has always been on reliability and quality. I am confident that Chris will uphold our legacy, ensuring customers continue to receive dependable onboard solutions backed by our in-house engineering expertise.”

**Strengthened Leadership and Team Growth **

Due to accelerated growth over the past few years, the business has welcomed new specialists, enhancing its expertise and raising the total headcount to over 20. The current restructure of the senior management team has also prompted two well-deserved internal promotions, who are joining the established leadership team. Following the retirement of Technical Sales and Business Development Director David Payne, two key areas of the business have been strengthened to ensure a seamless transition and stability.

Responsible for the commercial side of the business, Louise Sims has been promoted to the new Commercial Director. Over the past four years Louise has been supporting the team as a Commercial Manager, together with overseeing all internal operations, driving ISO 9001:2015 compliance, and upholding the high standards of excellence the business is known for.

In parallel, to strengthen the Sales leadership, Ian Saunders has been promoted to Sales Director. Having led the specialist vehicle sales division for the past four years, Ian brings extensive sector knowledge and established customer relationships. With the appointment of Stuart Jones as Vehicle Applications Sales Executive in 2024, Ian is now well positioned to lead both the vehicle and marine sales activities, ensuring continuity across all markets.

“I am proud to recognise the exceptional talent within our team, who play a vital role in driving our growth,” said Chris Fower, Managing Director. “As we evolve, it’s important we remain grounded in our engineering expertise and dedication to customer care, while embracing opportunities in emerging sub-niche markets and environmentally conscious solutions.”

**Looking Ahead **

These appointments further enhance the board, with Louise and Ian joining a highly experienced leadership team with decades of combined industry expertise, including Ashlea Fower, Finance Director, and Chris Baker, Engineering Director. The existing operational structure remains unchanged, ensuring customers continue to receive the same level of service, technical support and responsiveness throughout this transition and beyond.

The restructure aligns with Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions’ transition to a comprehensive onboard system solutions provider, offering power, climate control, and water purification systems from leading suppliers, installed by its team of expert engineers. Looking forward, the company aims to continue to expand into sub-niche markets in the marine sector and specialist vehicle industry, while maintaining its core values of technical excellence, reliability, and customer service.
