As Non-Executive Chairman, Dr Galvin will support the Board and leadership team as CheckedSafe continues to strengthen its position as a trusted partner for fleet operators, transport providers and businesses across multiple sectors. The company currently serves more than 1,500 customers and has established itself as a recognised leader in digital vehicle compliance, driver safety and operational oversight solutions.

CheckedSafe’s technology helps organisations improve safety standards, streamline compliance processes and meet increasingly complex legislative and regulatory requirements. Its solutions support businesses in protecting employees, drivers, road users and the communities in which they operate.

Leadership Perspectives

I am delighted to be joining CheckedSafe as Non-Executive Chairman at such an exciting stage of the company’s development.

CheckedSafe has built an outstanding reputation for innovation, compliance excellence and improving safety outcomes across the transport sector. Its products play an important role in helping organisations ensure the safety of their teams, drivers, road users and wider business operations, while supporting compliance with legislation and regulation.

The business has established strong foundations and a clear strategic direction. I look forward to working closely with the Board and Management Team to support the company’s continued growth and expansion into new markets and opportunities.

In a joint statement, CheckedSafe Co-Founders Gary Hawthorne and Darran Harris said:

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Michael Galvin as Chairman of the CheckedSafe Board.

With a career spanning more than 40 years in the road transport, private hire and taxi industries, Dr Galvin brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership and expertise to our Board.

Safety remains the number one priority for the public, employers and licensing authorities across the UK, Europe and global markets. CheckedSafe’s products and services empower fleet professionals and operators to strengthen their service offering while helping to ensure compliance with the highest vehicle and driver safety standards.

We look forward to the next chapter with Dr Galvin’s expertise and support as we continue to drive innovation and raise safety standards across the transport industry.

Future Outlook and Expansion

The appointment reflects CheckedSafe’s focus on ensuring the Board is appropriately constituted to support the company’s long-term ambitions and maintain the highest standards of governance. As the business continues to grow, expand into new sectors and develop new product capabilities, strong leadership and effective oversight remain central to its strategy.

While CheckedSafe continues to build on its success within commercial fleet operations, the company is also expanding its presence into additional transport markets, including private hire and taxi operations, bringing its proven expertise in digital compliance, vehicle safety and operational efficiency to a wider customer base.

With a strong platform for growth, an expanding customer portfolio and an ongoing commitment to innovation, CheckedSafe remains focused on helping organisations improve safety, reduce risk and achieve compliance across increasingly complex operating environments.
